A new task force (TF) within the U.S. House of Representatives, formed to uncover the truth behind the assassination of President John F. Kennedy?a case long surrounded by conspiracy theories claiming it was 'not a lone act'?has completed its committee formation. The TF plans to also investigate classified information related to major U.S. incidents such as the assassination of Reverend Martin Luther King Jr., billionaire Jeffrey Epstein's sex crime scandal, the COVID-19 pandemic, UAPs, and the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

According to Fox News and others on the 18th (local time), the House assigned seven Republican members, known as conservative hardliners, to the TF, which functions as a special committee under the House Oversight Committee. Anna Paulina Luna, a Florida representative who was initially a leading candidate, was appointed as the TF chair.

The TF includes many members from the House conservative hardline group called the 'Freedom Caucus.' Representatives Lauren Boebert, Eli Crane, and Eric Burlison are participating, along with freshman representative Brandon Gille. Burlison stated on his personal social media that "a government shrouded in secrecy has become a tool of control."

Representative Nancy Mace is also part of the TF. Last November, Mace introduced bills banning transgender women from accessing restrooms or locker rooms in the Capitol and other federal government buildings. NPR reported that this legislation was introduced shortly after the election of Sarah McBride, the first transgender member of the U.S. Congress.

Representative Tim Burchett has been actively addressing issues related to Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP). He has called for the full disclosure of UAP-related documents and introduced the 'UAP Transparency Act.' He has argued that federal government secrecy on UAPs must end and that the public deserves access to the information they seek.

The TF will review and disclose classified federal documents that have not been previously released concerning President John F. Kennedy and Reverend Martin Luther King Jr.'s assassinations, the client list related to billionaire Jeffrey Epstein's sex crime scandal, the COVID-19 pandemic, UAPs, and the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order on the 23rd of last month to release secret materials related to Kennedy's assassination. Conspiracy theories suggesting involvement by the CIA or the former Soviet Union have been persistently raised in some U.S. circles.

James Comer, chair of the House Oversight Committee, stated in a press release, "The federal government has long kept information related to the public interest classified, and the American people are demanding a higher level of transparency," adding, "This secrecy has fostered distrust in our institutions."
