This year, Changwon City's Apartment Management Support Project will be carried out with a budget of 900 million KRW. Among the 259 complexes that applied last December, a total of 64 complexes were selected through the review of the Apartment Management Support Deliberation Committee, including 3 complexes newly added this year for the electric vehicle fire prevention project, 16 complexes for improvement of aging apartment facilities, 32 complexes for small-scale apartment facility improvements, 7 complexes for community activation, and 6 complexes for labor environment improvement projects such as security offices and janitors’ rest areas.

The support funds can be used for maintenance and management of aging common and welfare facilities within apartment complexes, such as repairing cracks and waterproofing inside and outside buildings, repairing children’s playgrounds and senior centers, repairing security offices and janitors’ rest facilities, operating programs for resident harmony, and relocating underground parking lot electric vehicle charging facilities to above ground. Apartment complexes are required to bear 50% of the costs themselves according to the amount of support.

Changwon City has produced and distributed the “2025 Apartment Management Support Project Manual” to ensure fairness in the selection of support target complexes and to help understand the support criteria and project implementation.

The manual includes not only the evaluation table for selecting target complexes and procedures for the apartment management support project but also details on the execution methods for each subsidy budget item, aiming to assist apartment complex members who face difficulties in subsidy execution. It is also posted on the city’s website (Website → Administrative Information → Department Data Room → Housing Policy Division), allowing any citizens interested in Changwon City’s Apartment Management Support Project to check it.

Park Hyun-ho, Director of the Urban Policy Bureau, stated, “Management of apartments closely related to daily life is directly connected to creating a safe and pleasant residential environment,” and added, “We will do our best to enhance citizens’ residential satisfaction through solid project implementation.”
