Joining Hands as One for the Development of My Hometown, Yeongju
Yeongju City in Gyeongbuk held a regular policy meeting on the 17th in Sejong City with Yeongju City officials and central government officials from Yeongju.

This meeting was organized to explore cooperation measures for securing national funds and responding to major issues, as well as to strengthen human networks.
At the meeting, 19 officials including Mayor Park Nam-seo and director-level executives from Yeongju City attended. From the central government, 17 officials participated, including Jo Man-hee, Director of Income and Corporate Tax Policy at the Ministry of Strategy and Finance (chairman of the association of central government officials from Yeongju), as well as representatives from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and Ministry of SMEs and Startups, discussing various plans for the development of Yeongju.
Mayor Park Nam-seo explained key projects such as △the comprehensive development project around Yeongju Lake △the establishment of the Yeongju Advanced Bearing National Industrial Complex △the construction of the National Road No. 28 alternative bypass road (Jeokdong to Sangmang) △the construction of the central region east-west transversal railway, and requested interest and cooperation at the central government level.
Mayor Park added, “I deeply thank the hometown officials who continuously show affection and interest for the development of Yeongju,” and urged, “Please join forces to secure national funds and promote major projects so that Yeongju can take a step forward.”
Director Jo Man-hee responded, “I will do my best to play a role in the central government for the development of Yeongju,” and said, “Let us cooperate and develop together with the central government and Yeongju City.”
Yeongju City holds regular quarterly meetings to strengthen cooperation with central government officials from Yeongju and plans to jointly respond to securing national funds and resolving major issues through continuous exchanges.
