A father who fatally stabbed his son on the street was arrested by the police on charges of parricide.
According to the Geumjeong Police Station in Busan, at 5:08 p.m. on the 17th, a 112 emergency call was received reporting a person bleeding and collapsed on a street in Bugok-dong.
A man in his 60s, Mr. A, wielded a weapon against his son, Mr. B, in his 20s, and then fled the scene. Mr. B was transported to the hospital but died.
The police reviewed CCTV footage to trace Mr. A’s movements, including his route via the subway, and issued an urgent manhunt through the Busan police.
The fleeing Mr. A was urgently arrested near Busan Station at around 6:45 p.m.
A police official stated, “We are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident and whether there was any family discord as a motive for the crime.”
