Handonghun Publishes Book 'The People Come First'... Political Comeback Imminent

Expected to Announce Return Through Public Events

Former People Power Party leader Han Dong-hoon is set to resume his political activities with the publication of a book titled "The People Come First" on the 26th.

A representative from Han's side told Yonhap News on the 17th, "We plan to publish a book that contains Han's political principle of 'The People Come First.'"

It is anticipated that Han will officially announce his political comeback through events such as a book concert or lectures coinciding with the book release. Political circles interpret this move as a de facto preparation for a presidential run, in light of President Yoon Seok-yeol's impeachment trial results and the possibility of an early presidential election.

Han stepped down from his leadership position on December 16 last year, following the passage of the impeachment motion against President Yoon in the National Assembly.

After a period of political silence, Han met with senior political figures around the Lunar New Year holiday last month to seek advice on his future course. On the 16th, he hinted at his return to politics through a Facebook post, saying, "I will visit you soon."
