Gokseong County in Jeollanam-do (Governor Cho Sangrae) announced on the 17th that it has been implementing a business environment improvement project for local small business owners since the 14th to strengthen their business competitiveness.

The business environment improvement project provides up to 7 million KRW for indoor and outdoor facility improvements at small business sites, and up to 2 million KRW for the purchase of business-related equipment. This project has been carried out annually by the county since 2014, and it has received high satisfaction as it provides practical support to improve the business conditions of local small business owners.

Eligible applicants are small business owners with annual sales of less than 1 billion KRW and fewer than 5 to 10 regular employees, depending on the industry. As of the 14th, the business must have been registered and operating in Gokseong for at least three months. Franchise stores, businesses related to agriculture or forestry, and those that have received support for the same or similar projects within the past five years are excluded from eligibility.

The application period is open until the 28th. Business owners can apply by visiting the town or township office where their business is located, bringing their ID and required documents such as the business application form. After a review process, the selected recipients will receive the support funds upon confirmation of project completion.

Governor Cho Sangrae stated, "Improving the business environment for small business owners directly leads to strengthening their competitiveness, increasing sales, and revitalizing the local economy. I hope this project will be of great help to local small business owners struggling with declining sales."
