On the 17th, Korea Zinc announced that it completed the safety education center at the end of last year in the Onsan National Industrial Complex, Ulju-gun, Ulsan. The center spans a total floor area of 1,225 pyeong (4,043.52㎡), consisting of one building from basement level 1 to the 3rd floor. The center is equipped with the latest educational facilities, including a smart experiential training room.

Korea Zinc plans to provide various forms of safety education through the smart experiential training room. At the safety education center, diverse smart experiential trainings are conducted under the guidance of professional instructors, including personal protective equipment safety experiences (electric shock, dust masks, safety helmet impact, etc.), plant safety experiences (entrapment, chemical leakage, gas explosion, etc.), construction safety experiences (conveyor belts, cranes, openings and safety harness falls, etc.), fire safety experiences (fire suppression, alarm systems, fire escape, etc.), and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training.

Additionally, the Korea Zinc safety education center is a building that has obtained the globally recognized eco-friendly building certification, the 'LEED Silver rating.' It received excellent evaluations in terms of eco-friendliness from the design and construction stages through to overall operation after completion. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is an eco-friendly building certification system administered by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), which comprehensively evaluates various environmental factors such as energy efficiency, water conservation, indoor environmental quality, and resource utilization.

A Korea Zinc official stated, "The safety education center, certified as an eco-friendly building, will not only efficiently reduce energy consumption but also serve as a catalyst for creating safe working conditions for employees through various experiential trainings." He added, "Since 'safety' is emphasized at the forefront of Korea Zinc’s company mission, Korea Zinc will continue to advance its safety system for employees."
