Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province is recruiting a citizen participation group for the public garden creation project, 'Botanic Garden Hwaseong,' until the 10th of next month.
'Botanic Garden Hwaseong' is a key pledge project of the 8th municipal administration, aiming to create a public garden featuring specialized content centered on plants by utilizing Hwaseong City's hub urban parks and green spaces.
The citizen participation group will play a role in providing opinions related to the project and proposing necessary elements for public garden plans in their residential areas. They will also participate in various activities to promote the project and spread garden culture.
The recruitment is limited to within 100 people, and anyone residing in Hwaseong City or working at a business located in Hwaseong City can participate. The activity period is two years, until March 2027.
Those selected as members of the citizen participation group will have the opportunity to attend project briefings and meetings for 'Botanic Garden Hwaseong,' understand the progress of the project, share ideas, and explore directions for the project's development. They can also participate in 'garden creation and management activities,' where they can learn about garden culture and experience gardens in daily life.
Jung Myung-geun, Mayor of Hwaseong City, said, "Botanic Garden Hwaseong is not just a simple park but will become the center of a sustainable garden culture where citizens directly participate and cultivate."
