UNIST, Recruiting 1st Class of AI CEO Program... "Igniting AI Management Strategy and Manufacturing Innovation"

30 Managers to Receive Smart Factory Training Starting in April
Applications Open Until March 7... Accelerating Digital Transformation

UNIST (President Jongrae Park) announced on the 17th that it is recruiting the first cohort of the ‘AI Chief Executive Officer Program’ in collaboration with Ulsan City to promote the digital transformation of the local manufacturing industry. The core objective of this program is to strengthen Ulsan's industrial competitiveness by utilizing AI technology for management innovation.

The ‘AI Chief Executive Officer Program’ will be held from April 9 to November 26 at the UNIST Industry-Academia Convergence Campus. It targets 30 managers from mid-sized and small enterprises.

Participants will learn how to integrate AI into management strategies, build smart factories, and make data-driven decisions. Applications will be accepted via email from February 17 to March 7, and application forms can be downloaded from the UNIST website.

Attendees will learn how to apply AI technology, combining theory and practice, to real corporate environments. After completion, continuous networking and industry-academia cooperation activities will provide opportunities to promote AI adoption in the local industry.

The training focuses on Ulsan’s key industries: shipbuilding, automotive, and petrochemicals. Through AI-based production process optimization and smart manufacturing practice, participants will acquire strategies to effectively respond to the changing industrial environment.

Notably, this program was developed based on UNIST’s ‘AI Novatus Academia Practitioner Course.’ Both institutions recognized the need for a management-level training program and incorporated specific demands through interviews with representatives of local industries.

Designed with a practical focus to enable effective application of AI technology in management, it is expected that corporate executives will be able to make rational decisions regarding digital transformation and AI adoption.

President Jongrae Park of UNIST stated, “We will help executives strategically adopt AI technology and continue to develop UNIST education tailored to the Ulsan industrial field.”

A Ulsan City official said, “This program is an important opportunity for the digital transformation of Ulsan’s industry and the enhancement of global competitiveness,” adding, “We will support companies in making efficient decisions through AI-based management.”

UNIST and Ulsan City have produced 210 AI experts from 90 companies over seven cohorts through the ‘AI Novatus Academia Practitioner Course.’ Building on this, the ‘AI Chief Executive Officer Program’ is expected to accelerate the digital transformation of Ulsan’s industrial sector.
