Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi FTA Trade Promotion Center were selected as the top institution in the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s ‘2024 Regional FTA Trade Promotion Center Project Evaluation.’ With this, the Gyeonggi FTA Trade Promotion Center has set a record by being selected as the top institution for 12 consecutive years.
Previously, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy evaluates the major business achievements and the thoroughness of project execution of 18 regional FTA centers nationwide every year.
Last year, the Gyeonggi FTA Center supported a total of 8,130 companies, including ▲ comprehensive FTA consultations (2,387 companies) ▲ one-on-one FTA consulting through company visits (888 companies) ▲ regional touring education and briefings (3,122 companies) ▲ online platform marketing support (118 companies) ▲ carbon border tax response support (718 companies) ▲ non-tariff barrier response support (297 companies) ▲ global supply chain establishment support (208 companies).
Park Kyung-seo, Director of International Trade at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "This evaluation is the result of the efforts by Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi FTA Center to actively support SMEs in utilizing FTAs and trade." He added, "We will continue to make active efforts so that companies in the province can secure global competitiveness and minimize trade risks, thereby finding vitality even in an unstable export environment."
