Applications Open from the 17th
Available Until December
Hampyeong County in Jeonnam announced on the 16th that it will provide agri-food vouchers to strengthen food accessibility for vulnerable groups.
The agri-food voucher support program provides voucher cards to vulnerable groups, allowing them to purchase agricultural products such as vegetables, fruits, and meat at designated partner stores, including Nonghyup Hanaro Mart.
The support targets are pregnant women, infants and toddlers, and children under the age of 18 from households receiving livelihood benefits with an income at or below 32% of the median income.
The agri-food voucher cards will be provided for 10 months from next month until December.
The amount of support varies depending on the number of household members, ranging from 40,000 won for single-person households, 100,000 won for four-person households, and 130,000 won for six-person households, with differentiated support for households with 10 or more members.
Applications can be submitted online (website), by phone (ARS), or at the local town or township office starting from the 17th. However, if applying on behalf of someone else or if pregnancy verification is required, supporting documents must be submitted.
The agri-food voucher support program is being implemented for the first time by Hampyeong County this year, and the county is actively promoting the program by producing and distributing posters and leaflets to local offices to ensure that no eligible recipients are missed.
Lee Sangik, the mayor of Hampyeong County, stated, "We hope that the agri-food voucher support program will help improve the health of vulnerable groups by establishing a food safety net," and added, "We will do our best to promote the project to contribute to revitalizing the local agricultural economy through increased consumption of local agricultural products."
