Expansion of Public Procurement Fairs and Active Market Channel Projects Including Kkum Market, the Social Economy Marketplace
Proactive District Budget Allocation Despite Government Funding Cuts Due to Policy Shifts... Promoting a Virtuous Cycle in the Social Economy Ecosystem
Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) has newly established the "2025 Comprehensive Plan for the Activation of Social Economy" to create a sustainable social economy ecosystem and strengthen the self-sustainability of social economy enterprises.
Social economy refers to all economic activities in the private sector that produce and sell goods and services based on cooperation among members of society to create social value.
This year, the district plans to actively promote social economy activation support policies focusing on three main areas: ▲creating a sustainable social economy ecosystem ▲expanding and strengthening public and private sales channels ▲supporting the revitalization of social economy enterprises.
To enhance expertise and field relevance, the comprehensive plan reflects various policy proposals gathered through a meeting with representatives of social economy enterprises last November, where their difficulties were heard, and includes initiatives such as expanding public procurement fairs and supporting social economy networks.
In response to the government's reduction and suspension of financial support, the district plans to continuously promote its own public contest projects to support business development expenses this year as well.
Additionally, to strengthen the competitiveness of social economy enterprises, the district will expand public and private sales channels and various support projects.
In particular, the district will promote the "Social Economy Public Procurement Fair" to encourage the priority purchase rate by public institutions, operating promotional booths and consultations for about 20 social economy enterprises in the region targeting public procurement officers.
The number of operations of "Kkum Market," Gwanak-gu's representative social economy marketplace, will be increased, and efforts will be made to support social economy enterprises in securing sales channels and growth through continuous online operations (KakaoTalk Store, Naver Smart Store).
Furthermore, support for enterprise growth through the Gwanak-gu Social Economy Integrated Support Center, support for social economy networks, and ongoing projects such as the operation of the "Iruda Startup Workshop," "social economy enterprise space support," and "Social Enterprise Lunch Day" will continue to be promoted to foster the social economy ecosystem.
Mayor Park Jun-hee said, "Although the social economy is facing difficulties due to the economic downturn and changes in external circumstances, we will spare no support to strengthen the self-sustainability of enterprises to revitalize the social economy."
Geumcheon-gu, No More Household Chores Worries for Pregnant Women, Dual-Income, and Multi-Child Families... 700,000 KRW Support per Household
Geumcheon-gu Provides Household Services Such as Cleaning, Dishwashing, Garbage Disposal, and Laundry to 330 Households Eligible for Seoul-Style Household Service
Targeting Pregnant Women Households, Dual-Income Families, and Multi-Child Families with Income Below 180% of Median
Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yoo Sung-hoon) announced that it is continuously recruiting users for the "Seoul-Style Household Service" to reduce the burden of household chores for pregnant women, dual-income, and multi-child families.
The support targets are pregnant women households, dual-income families, and multi-child families residing in Geumcheon-gu with income below 180% of the median, with a total support scale of 330 households.
Pregnant women households are eligible from the third month of pregnancy to within one year after childbirth as of the application date; dual-income families must have both spouses working and be raising children under 12 years old; multi-child families must have two or more children under 18 years old, including at least one child under 12 years old.
Without any personal payment, household helpers dispatched by the service provider visit homes to provide household services such as cleaning, laundry, and dishwashing. However, some services such as organizing and storage, cooking, childcare, and pet care are excluded.
From this year, instead of a limit of 10 visits per household, users can freely select desired services within a total limit of 700,000 KRW. Also, all providers can be used throughout Seoul regardless of service area.
Users receive vouchers via credit (or debit) card and can directly select from 32 designated providers to use household services.
Applications can be made online after registering as a member on Seoul Mom Care. Supporting documents such as resident registration and health insurance payment certificates must be attached when applying.
The project period is until November 30, 2025, and applications close when the budget is exhausted. Selection results will be notified individually via text message after reviewing eligibility.
Mayor Yoo Sung-hoon of Geumcheon-gu said, "We hope that pregnant women, dual-income, and multi-child families in the region will find a balance between work and life through the Seoul-Style Household Service," and added, "We will continue to promote various projects and policies to make Geumcheon a family-friendly district."
