The Promotion Committee decided to hold the '2025 Yangsan Wungsang Hoe Festival' for two days from May 31 to June 1 at Wungsang Sports Park, adopting ‘Wungsang 新風 (New Wind)’ as the festival slogan and exchanged various opinions on the festival promotion plan.

Following last year, the event is scheduled to proceed with programs that embody the historical and cultural values of Wungsang. The opening performance will feature the flight of a phoenix symbolizing hope, resurrection, and eternity, praying for the development of Wungsang, and the Joseon Tongsinsa parade, which received a positive response last year, will be reenacted more richly by encouraging greater citizen participation.

Additionally, the Water Festa and Water Gun Festival, which help cool off the early summer heat, will be held again this year. The Water Gun Festival, popular among family visitors, will include a kids’ zone for toddlers and water slides, while the Water Festa will reduce DJing compared to the previous year and thoroughly prepare to become a festival where attendees can enjoy spectacular performances by artists and singers.

An unusual resting area decorated with art shades will be installed to provide a resting space for visitors, and Wungsang Nongcheongjangwon Nori, a youth Korean traditional music festival, and various experience and exhibition booths will also be operated. Shuttle buses and electric carts will increase in number to improve accessibility, and food booths will be prepared with diverse concepts.

Na Dong-yeon, Mayor of Yangsan and Chairman of the Yangsan Wungsang Hoe Festival Promotion Committee, said, “This year, we will prepare to present a new Yangsan Wungsang Hoe Festival with specialized content and various programs,” adding, “We will do our best to make it a festival that citizens can enjoy together and want to revisit.”
