According to Seo-gu District on the 14th, this forum was organized to share the operational achievements of the HiVE project, which has been promoted as a consortium between the two institutions. About 150 participants attended, including Seo-gu District Mayor Kim Ikang and Gwangju Health University President Kim Kyungtae.

Through the HiVE project, Seo-gu District has focused on establishing a community-integrated care system (AIP, Aging In Place) and operating programs tailored to the characteristics of each neighborhood.

In particular, the district has strengthened the care infrastructure and contributed to providing customized welfare services for residents by operating region-specific education programs such as Senior Care Manager Training, Integrated Case Manager Training, Silver Exercise Classes, and Mobile Integrated Health Camps.

In addition, customized job training programs for public officials in social welfare, such as Community Care Courses and Facilitator Training, as well as resident autonomy competency enhancement education for neighborhood leaders, resident autonomy committee members, and community activists, received positive feedback.

As a result, the two institutions proved the excellence of the project by achieving the highest grade (A) in the comprehensive evaluation of 50 consortia nationwide, organized by the National Research Foundation of Korea last year.

Kim Ikang, Mayor of Seo-gu District, said, "The foundation that enabled Seo-gu to become a leader in welfare and local autonomy was the HiVE project," and added, "We will continue to strengthen cooperation with educational institutions to expand region-specific education and create a sustainable local innovation model."

Kim Kyungtae, President of Gwangju Health University, stated, "Through this project, we have intensively fostered various projects and care personnel linked to the health industry," and added, "The university will become a hub that grows together with the local community, going beyond being a mere educational institution."
