"Establishing Itself as a Leading Anju Snack Brand"
Nongshim announced on the 14th that it will release the sequel to 'Meoktaekkang Cheongyang Mayo Flavor,' which led the anju snack craze, called 'Meoktaekkang Gochujang Mayo Flavor.'
Meoktaekkang Gochujang Mayo Flavor enhances umami with dried pollack extract and roasted dried pollack powder, and adds a spicy yet savory taste by incorporating domestically produced gochujang and mayonnaise seasoning.
A Nongshim official stated, "According to Nongshim's own consumer evaluation, Meoktaekkang Gochujang Mayo Flavor recorded higher satisfaction than the existing Cheongyang Mayo Flavor," adding, "We plan to develop this product to continue the legacy of Meoktaekkang, which has established itself as a representative brand of anju snacks."
Nongshim Meoktaekkang Gochujang Mayo Flavor is scheduled to be sold nationwide at retail stores and through e-commerce starting on the 17th.
Meanwhile, Meoktaekkang, launched in June 2023, is characterized by the sharp umami flavor of Cheongyang chili mayo, and has sold a cumulative total of 40 million packs as of January this year. This sales trend is similar to Nongshim's popular snack brand Kkulkkwabegi, showing steady consumer preference for about a year and a half since its launch.
