Lee Geumseon Expects "Enhanced Educational Equity and Stabilization of School Uniform Support Project"
The Education Committee of the Daejeon Metropolitan Council announced on the 12th that it had passed the original draft of the 'Partial Amendment Ordinance on School Uniform Support in Daejeon,' which was proposed by Lee Geumseon (People Power Party, Yuseong-gu 4).
The ordinance, co-sponsored by 11 council members, establishes an institutional basis for providing school uniforms to new students at special schools and includes additional support for students who require school uniforms due to school transfers resulting from the establishment of new schools.
Lee Geumseon stated, "When this amended ordinance is implemented, it will contribute to enhancing educational equity and stabilizing the school uniform support project, which is carried out through joint investments by the city and the Office of Education."
The ordinance is scheduled to be submitted to the 2nd plenary session of the 284th extraordinary meeting on the 20th.
