Gwangju Shinsegae Unveils New Products Featuring This Year's Color 'Mokamus'

Sand Beige, Lucky Chouette, and More

Gwangju Shinsegae Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Donghoon) announced on the 12th that it will introduce a variety of new products utilizing 'Mocha Mousse,' the color selected as this year's color.


'Mocha Mousse,' chosen as the color of the year by the global color research institute Pantone to convey comfort amid the economic downturn, is a sophisticated color that goes beyond simple brown, evoking a soft mood reminiscent of chestnuts, chocolate, and coffee.

Gwangju Shinsegae is expected to attract customers by presenting various items featuring Mocha Mousse, which exudes a refined, glamorous, and luxurious vibe.


Located on the 5th floor of the main building, 'Sand Beige' is a brand that pursues luxurious materials and minimal designs with a restrained silhouette. Inspired by the sands of the ancient Moroccan city of Marrakech, Sand Beige captivates customers with its solid materials and sophisticated designs.


In particular, Sand Beige is gaining popularity by offering Mocha Mousse-colored items ranging from jackets to sets, allowing customers to create tone-on-tone styles with its signature beige-colored products.


'Lucky Chouette' is also presenting a variety of items that showcase the brand's unique, lively sensibility in harmony with Mocha Mousse.


At Lucky Chouette, attention is being drawn to items such as denim jackets with Mocha Mousse-colored leather patches and jackets made from Mocha Mousse-colored corduroy fabric.


In addition, Gwangju Shinsegae is hosting events where customers can discover a wide range of Mocha Mousse-colored items.


Starting on the 17th, Gwangju Shinsegae will hold a S/S special exhibition on the first basement floor of the main building, featuring new brands such as General Idea, Magjay, and Bittercells. This special exhibition, the first event since opening, will showcase a variety of items utilizing Mocha Mousse. From the 24th to the 1st of next month, a group exhibition will also be held, gathering popular women's brands such as She’s Miss, List, and Sistina in one place.


Kim Yooncheol, head of the Gwangju Shinsegae fashion team, said, "Items highlighting the calm and elegant Mocha Mousse are expected to be popular this year," and added, "We hope customers will purchase a variety of new products featuring trendy colors at Gwangju Shinsegae."
