Voucher Points of 800,000 KRW for Learning Materials and Cultural Activities,
Prepaid Transportation Card of 200,000 KRW
Ulju-gun, Ulsan, is implementing the ‘2025 Ulju-gun Youth Growth Support Fund Project’ to reduce the economic burden of academic expenses for local youth and support their healthy development.
The support targets youth born in 2006 who have been registered residents of Ulju-gun for more than one year as of the application submission date, including university students, those planning to enter university, or those aiming to attend university. Youth who graduate at the same time as those born in 2006 due to early admission, academic deferment, or other reasons are also exceptionally included.
However, participants in similar programs such as the Ministry of Employment and Labor’s National Employment Support System or Ulsan Youth Job-Seeking Support Fund are not eligible for duplicate support. Additionally, if there is a change in eligibility such as address relocation during the support period, the support will be discontinued.
To apply, applicants must prepare proof of eligibility and visit the administrative welfare center in their registered resident area. Detailed information on required documents and other application details can be found on the Ulju-gun Office website’s general announcement board.
Ulju-gun will operate a focused application period from the 12th of this month until the 31st of next month. Since the support fund is paid differentially starting from the quarter of the application month and retroactive payments are not possible, applying within this period is necessary to receive the maximum support.
Ulju-gun will notify selected applicants via text message. Selected recipients will receive voucher points of 200,000 KRW per quarter, totaling 800,000 KRW annually, which can be used to purchase learning materials such as books, stationery, electronic devices, or for cultural activities. Including a prepaid transportation card worth 200,000 KRW, the total annual growth support fund amounts to up to 1,000,000 KRW.
An Ulju-gun official stated, “We hope the Ulju-gun Youth Growth Support Fund system will help local youth nurture their dreams even a little,” and added, “We will provide various welfare services to ensure that Ulju-gun youth grow up healthily.”
