Cho Hyun-beom, Chairman of Korea & Company Group, delivered a message to the group’s new employees, urging them to never stop challenging themselves for innovation.
On the 11th, Chairman Cho attended the '2025 Korea & Company Group New Employee Welcome Event' held at the High-Tech Research Institute Technodome in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon Metropolitan City. This was the first time Korea & Company Group held a separate welcome event specifically for new employees.
The event was attended by about 200 people, including Chairman Cho, Park Jong-ho, CEO of Korea & Company, Ahn Jong-seon and Lee Sang-hoon, co-CEOs of Hankook Tire, group executives and employees, and 149 new employees.

In his greeting, Chairman Cho said, "Today’s event marks the starting point of a long journey as you take your first step as true members of the group after completing a month of basic training," adding, "I expect all of you, full of passion and ambition, to grow into 'Proactive Leaders' of innovation and challenge."
During the event, Chairman Cho also emphasized the group’s top priority value, 'innovation.' He stressed, "Complacency, thinking that 'everything goes well without any problems' in management or work, is the most dangerous attitude," and added, "Having a sense of problem awareness is the starting point of innovation."
He further underscored the importance of relentless challenges to the new employees. He said, "When we face life or work, the worst attitude is doing nothing out of fear of failure," and urged, "Innovation does not happen by standing still. Always be prepared to fail and keep challenging."
The new employees presented AI-based business model (BM) ideas in a free format. The event was live-streamed on YouTube so that all group employees and the families of new employees could watch in real time. Additionally, an AI-assisted host took the stage as the presenter, drawing attention.
Lee Hong-seok, Executive Director of the HR Development Team, said, "Considering the corporate image and synergy among members, we decided to hold the new employee event at the group level starting this year," and added, "Through talent development strategies suited for the digital era, we will strengthen our position as a global high-tech group."
