Purchase rental housing refers to a project in which Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) purchases existing multi-family and multi-unit houses in urban areas so that low-income groups can live stably within their current living areas, and rents them out at about 30% of the market price under rental conditions.

The total number of units being recruited this time is 120, consisting of 20 units for single-person households (exclusive area 50㎡) and 100 units for 2-4 person households (exclusive area up to 85㎡). The initial rental period is 2 years, and residents can live for up to 20 years if they maintain eligibility.

Eligibility for application requires being a member of a non-homeowner household registered in Paju City as of the announcement date (January 31), with total assets of 241 million KRW or less and a vehicle value of 37.08 million KRW or less, and meeting the qualifications of priority groups 1 or 2.

Priority group 1 includes ▲ recipients of livelihood or medical benefits ▲ single-parent families eligible for support ▲ households urgently needing housing support ▲ low-income elderly (recipients aged 65 or older or near-poverty class) ▲ persons with disabilities in households with monthly average income below 70%, and priority group 2 includes ▲ low-income households with monthly average income below 50% ▲ persons with disabilities in households with monthly average income below 100%.

Those wishing to apply can do so through the administrative welfare center of their residential eup/myeon/dong during the recruitment period, and detailed information can be found in the announcement on the Paju City Hall and LH Subscription Plus websites.
