Support for Housing-Vulnerable Groups
Including Benefit Recipients, Single-Parent Families, and Low-Income Elderly
Gyeonggi Paju City (Mayor Kim Kyung-il) announced on the 11th that it will recruit 120 prospective tenants for purchase rental housing implemented by Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) from the 17th to the 19th.
Purchase rental housing refers to a project in which Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) purchases existing multi-family and multi-unit houses in urban areas so that low-income groups can live stably within their current living areas, and rents them out at about 30% of the market price under rental conditions.
The total number of units being recruited this time is 120, consisting of 20 units for single-person households (exclusive area 50㎡) and 100 units for 2-4 person households (exclusive area up to 85㎡). The initial rental period is 2 years, and residents can live for up to 20 years if they maintain eligibility.
Eligibility for application requires being a member of a non-homeowner household registered in Paju City as of the announcement date (January 31), with total assets of 241 million KRW or less and a vehicle value of 37.08 million KRW or less, and meeting the qualifications of priority groups 1 or 2.
Priority group 1 includes ▲ recipients of livelihood or medical benefits ▲ single-parent families eligible for support ▲ households urgently needing housing support ▲ low-income elderly (recipients aged 65 or older or near-poverty class) ▲ persons with disabilities in households with monthly average income below 70%, and priority group 2 includes ▲ low-income households with monthly average income below 50% ▲ persons with disabilities in households with monthly average income below 100%.
