Fostering Outstanding Technology Companies Rooted in the Region
The Korea Technology Finance Corporation announced on the 11th that it has signed a 'Business Agreement to Promote Technological Innovation and Strengthen Financial Support for Small and Medium Enterprises' with the Incheon-Bucheon-Gimpo Federation of Small and Medium Business Convergence.

The agreement was held at Michuhol Tower in Michuhol-gu, Incheon. Through this agreement, both organizations will establish a mutually organic cooperation system to discover excellent small and venture companies in the Incheon, Bucheon, and Gimpo areas and link small business support programs to actively foster outstanding technology-based companies rooted in the region.
According to the agreement, both organizations will discover local material and component specialized companies and promote ▲strengthening financial support for small businesses ▲sharing information on comprehensive support such as education and consulting ▲sharing professional personnel and policy development for small business growth ▲expanding promotional effects of small business support projects to lead the leap of excellent technology companies in the region.
Additionally, both organizations agreed to utilize Kibo's open technology trading platform, 'Smart Tech Bridge,' to create a technology-based innovation growth ecosystem within the region. Kibo established a dedicated technology trading organization in 2014 and started technology trading projects, supporting about 9,800 technology transfers to approximately 5,800 small and venture companies until last year.
Shim Seong-hak, head of Kibo's Incheon Regional Headquarters, said, "Through this agreement, technological innovation and step-by-step support plans for excellent small and venture companies in the region have been prepared," adding, "Kibo will continue to strengthen cooperation with related organizations and fulfill its role as a comprehensive support institution that backs the successful start-up and innovative growth of outstanding technology companies in the region."
