Since the enforcement of the Serious Accident Punishment Act, companies have been accelerating efforts to strengthen safety management.
On the 11th, MGen Solution announced that it will supply its AI fire detection and suppression system, 'AlphaShot,' to Seongsin Cement's Danyang Plant 2 through its subsidiary, Hyundai Infracore.
This contract was signed with the purpose of introducing an AI-based automated fire response system to establish a pre-detection and rapid response framework.
According to the company, the supply of the system is expanding recently to various clients including local governments, public enterprises, large corporations, and small and medium-sized enterprises. Due to consecutive fires at the National Hangeul Museum, waste treatment facilities, primary battery and waste battery companies, businesses are rushing to adopt advanced fire prevention systems.
The 'AlphaShot' system features ▲real-time fire detection using intelligent sensing sensors ▲AI-based remote monitoring and integrated control ▲an automated extinguishing solution applying precise fire suppression technology. In particular, through smart control technology, it is designed to reduce unnecessary use of extinguishing agents and enable rapid response only at necessary points.
MGen Solution plans to strengthen its position in the industrial safety market and expand the distribution of sustainable eco-friendly fire response systems through the supply of 'AlphaShot.'
Additionally, the company intends to leverage the technical know-how and data accumulated from this project to expand into various industrial sectors such as construction, manufacturing, and logistics.
According to related industries, the global fire protection system market size is expected to grow to $111.38 billion (approximately 162 trillion KRW) by 2032.
A company official stated, “Following last year’s incident where the CEO of a primary battery company was arrested and prosecuted under the Serious Accident Punishment Act, inquiries about AI-based fire detection and automatic extinguishing systems have surged, making the movement to adopt fire-related systems more distinct.”
He added, “AlphaShot, with its differentiated fire detection and precise suppression functions compared to existing systems, is expected to lead the trend of strengthening safety across industries.”
