Gwangju City, its five autonomous districts, and the Gwangju Institute of Health and Environment will establish a cooperative system for sharing information in seven major environmental sectors.

The Gwangju Institute of Health and Environment is holding a 'Meeting of Environmental Inspection-Related Agencies' covering seven sectors: drinking water, air, odor, indoor air quality, environmental hazards, soil, and public sewage, until the 28th. This meeting is designed to facilitate systematic and efficient communication between Gwangju City and the autonomous districts, which are responsible for supervision and inspection, and the Institute of Health and Environment, which is responsible for testing and inspection.

In particular, when carrying out tasks such as civil defense emergency water quality inspections in the Gwangju area, supervision and inspection of air pollution emission facilities, indoor air quality, and children's activity spaces, soil contamination surveys, and public sewage water quality inspections, the relevant information will be shared and mutual cooperation will be strengthened.

In addition, the opinions of those in charge will be gathered not only on research and investigation projects or difficulties required by related organizations such as Gwangju City and the autonomous districts, but also on topics that can be linked to policy.

Jung Hyuncheol, Director of the Gwangju Institute of Health and Environment, said, "Through information sharing and mutual cooperation on environmental tasks among Gwangju City, the autonomous districts, and the Institute of Health and Environment, we will strive to create a cleaner and healthier Gwangju community so that citizens experience no inconvenience in their daily lives."
