Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Acting Superintendent Choi Yoon-hong) announced at 10 a.m. on the 11th through the office’s website the final successful candidates for the 2025 public middle school teacher (including health, librarian, professional counselor, nutrition, and special education teachers) appointment competitive examination, totaling 503 people.
The final successful candidates consist of 498 people in 39 general recruitment subjects and 5 people in 5 disability recruitment subjects. They were selected through the second exam, which included the preparation of teaching and learning plans, teaching demonstrations, in-depth interviews on teaching aptitude, and practical evaluations, from among 782 first exam passers.
The gender ratio is 37.2% male (187 people) and 62.8% female (316 people), with the male ratio increasing by 5.3% compared to the previous year.
Busan Office of Education plans to sequentially appoint them starting from March 1 according to the teacher supply and demand plan.
The successful candidates must submit the registration documents listed in the announcement by registered mail to the Teacher Personnel Division of the Office of Education from the 11th to the 14th (postmarked by the 14th at the post office). Individual scores can be checked on the Office of Education’s ‘Online Recruitment for Teaching Staff (Middle School Appointment)’ site from the 11th to the 18th.
Newly appointed teachers are required to complete 55 hours of group training from February 17 to 26, and during the training period, on the 18th and 19th, they will receive guidance on duties at their assigned schools through two days of on-site school experience.
The final successful candidates for private middle school teachers, for whom the Office of Education entrusted part of the second exam, will be announced through the respective private schools’ websites according to each school’s schedule.
