On the 10th (local time), President Zelensky posted on social media platform X, "I congratulate the three countries on finally freeing themselves from dependence on Russian electricity." He added, "This once again proves that our cooperation means the independence of each country," and welcomed the fact that "Russia can no longer use energy as a weapon."

President Zelensky stated, "The more we reduce dependence on Russian energy, the faster we can ensure true security," and urged European countries to "cooperate with the United States on natural gas and oil supply while making additional efforts to import energy from regions such as the Middle East and North Africa."

Earlier, on the 8th, the three Baltic Sea coastal countries completely separated their national power systems from Russia and integrated into the European power grid. Strengthening their national security by aligning with the European Union (EU), they cut the last power lines connected to Russia and Belarus, 34 years after gaining independence from the former Soviet Union.
