[Special Stock] Yuil Enertech, Hyundai Motor Solid-State Battery Full Operation in March... Highlighted for Sole Assembly Equipment Order Increase

Yuil Energy Tech is showing strong performance. This is interpreted as being influenced by the news that Hyundai Motor Group will officially start operating its all-solid-state battery line in March.

As of 1:54 PM on the 10th, Yuil Energy Tech is trading at 1,345 KRW, up 16.15% compared to the previous day.

According to the industry, Hyundai Motor plans to hold an opening ceremony for its next-generation battery research building at its Uiwang research center in Gyeonggi Province in March. Inside this research building, a pilot line capable of trial production of all-solid-state batteries has been established.

It is reported that key executives including Chung Eui-sun, Chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, as well as senior officials from domestic and international suppliers and partners will attend. Representatives from General Motors (GM), the largest American automobile company, which has recently been expanding comprehensive cooperation with Hyundai Motor, are also scheduled to attend.

Once the pilot line is operational, Hyundai Motor plans to install prototypes produced here in its electric vehicles to test performance and mass production feasibility. The industry expects that prototypes of electric vehicles equipped with all-solid-state batteries will be released within this year.

Meanwhile, Yuil Energy Tech has exclusively secured the order for assembly process equipment for the all-solid-state battery pilot line ordered by Hyundai Motor. At the end of 2023, Yuil Energy Tech decided to turnkey supply the entire assembly process equipment for Hyundai Motor through a competitive bidding process. It is known to have received higher scores in technical evaluations compared to competitors.
