Based on his experience of crossing the boundary between life and death and working with medical staff and patients who gave their best until the very end in real-time emergency situations, Director Lee emphasized that no matter how difficult the situation, one must never give up and always do their best until the end.
He also spoke deeply about mental growth in times of crisis and, furthermore, about social responsibility, giving the attending Goyang city officials profound reflection and courage for new challenges.
Meanwhile, Mayor Lee Dong-hwan of Goyang Special City, in his greeting, urged thorough safety inspections of facilities during the thawing season and shared the example of smart technology utilization by converting all water meters across Goyang city to remote management, presenting the direction Goyang city will take in the future.

Mayor Lee quoted novelist Franz Kafka’s words, “There is a goal but no path. What we call a path is hesitation,” and encouraged the staff by saying, “Worrying about which path to take is hesitation caused by a lack of a clear goal. I hope you move forward without hesitation toward the goals you set this year.”
