[Photo] Hancheon Nongak in Hwasun, Village Gut Restoration Performance for Jeongwol Daeboreum

Hancheon Nongak, an intangible cultural heritage representing Hwasun-gun, held a performance at Hancheon Village in Dongbuk-myeon on the 9th, ahead of Jeongwol Daeboreum (the first full moon of the lunar year).

Hancheon Nongak is an intangible cultural asset of Jeollanam-do, and in August 1979, it was the first to be designated as such among Nongak performances, recognized for its exceptional value. It is known as the representative Jwado Nongak of Jeollanam-do.

The full performance of Hancheon Nongak lasts over nine hours, but the performance on this day was conducted over five hours, restoring the original form of the village ritual. The photo shows the Gigut scene from the Hancheon Nongak performance.
