Appointing a New CEO to Strengthen Competitiveness in the AI Robotics Business

Daedong Robotics, an AI-based intelligent robotics company under Daedong Group, announced on the 10th that it has appointed Dr. Yeo Jun-gu, a global expert in the field of robotics, as its new CEO.

Dr. Yeo Jun-gu graduated from the Department of Mechanical Design Engineering at Seoul National University and earned his master's and doctoral degrees in robotics from Oregon State University in the United States. He later served as a professor in the Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Hawaii. In Korea, he served as the 5th and 6th president of Korea Aerospace University, the inaugural director of the Robotics and Media Research Institute at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), and the 3rd and 4th president of the Korea Institute of Robot and Convergence (KIRO). He has received numerous prestigious awards, including the U.S. Presidential Award, and has published over 120 papers and academic research books. In 2014, he was selected as a Life Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the world's largest technical society.

Upon his appointment as the new CEO of Daedong Robotics, Dr. Yeo stated, “By maximizing Daedong Robotics’ technological capabilities in conjunction with Daedong AI Lab, a group company, leveraging Daedong’s autonomous driving tractors, precision agriculture, and other advanced agricultural technologies, as well as its long-accumulated global marketing capabilities, we will contribute to the group’s growth as an AI-based intelligent global robotics company.”
