Samsung Electronics announced on the 9th that during the pre-sale period of the Galaxy S25 series, one out of five customers who purchased unlocked devices at online and offline stores subscribed to the 'New Galaxy AI Subscription Club.'

Among customers who purchased unlocked devices on Samsung.com, 30% chose the 'New Galaxy AI Subscription Club.'

Launched in line with the pre-sale of the Galaxy S25 series, the 'New Galaxy AI Subscription Club' offers a 50% residual value guarantee upon device return after one year of use, a 40% residual value guarantee after two years, and benefits including 'Samsung Care Plus Smartphone Damage+.'

Sixty percent of the 'New Galaxy AI Subscription Club' subscribers were young customers in their 20s and 30s. This demographic shows high interest in the latest IT devices and is receptive to the new purchasing method of 'subscription.' Additionally, their relatively short mobile device replacement cycle made it appealing to freely use the latest Galaxy device every year.

The model with the highest subscription rate was the 'Galaxy S25 Ultra,' with a strong preference for higher-end lineup models that offer greater residual value compensation upon return.

In addition to Samsung Electronics' 'New Galaxy AI Subscription Club,' the three major mobile carriers also operate their own subscription programs, indicating that the number of mobile product subscription customers is expected to increase gradually.

Im Seong-taek, Vice President and Head of Samsung Electronics Korea, stated, "We will lead future smartphone purchasing trends with the 'New Galaxy AI Subscription Club,' which allows broad use of the latest product innovations at an affordable price."

Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics is enhancing trade-in benefits for Galaxy used smartphone returns for 'New Galaxy AI Subscription Club' subscribers.

Until the 28th of this month, customers who purchase the 'Galaxy S25 series' at Samsung Gangnam and subscribe to the AI Subscription Club, or those who subscribe to the 'Galaxy S25 series' on Samsung.com and pick up their device at Samsung Gangnam, will receive an additional 30,000 KRW on top of the grade-based compensation amount when they return their previously used flagship model at the used phone return kiosk located on the 3rd floor of Samsung Gangnam. Used product returns are accepted until March 14.
