Up to 25 Million Won per Company Available Until March 19

Launched last year, this project aims to support furniture companies struggling with furniture design and planning due to high labor dependency and low productivity caused by manual work. Establishing a furniture design and planning system can minimize factors that negatively affect production costs, such as mass production of defective products due to inexperienced workers and waste of materials and sub-materials.

The province plans to select a total of 12 companies and support 70% of the purchase cost of furniture design and planning programs (up to 25 million won). Post-management consulting will also be provided.

Eligible applicants are small and medium-sized furniture manufacturing companies registered with factories in the province that can introduce and use programs for furniture production, design, and planning standardization.

Last year, the province supported 16 companies, helping local small and medium-sized furniture companies secure competitiveness by reducing customer complaints and increasing satisfaction through an integrated data system from sales to production, facilitating new product design development, improving quality, increasing productivity, enhancing delivery times, and boosting corporate trust.

Applications can be submitted online through the Gyeonggi Daejin Technopark Industrial Support Information System by 6 p.m. on March 19.

Jeon Eun-sook, Director of Corporate Development at Gyeonggi Province, said, "This project will promote digitalization and innovation in the furniture industry and serve as an opportunity to increase productivity," adding, "We expect it to contribute to new job creation and revitalization of the local economy."
