A Situation Similar to the Western District Court Incident

On the 7th, the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul received reports that numerous posts implying violent actions at the Constitutional Court were being uploaded in the DC Inside ‘US Politics Gallery’.
One user shared photos inside and outside the Constitutional Court, saying, “I scouted around the Constitutional Court,” leaving a ‘reconnaissance certification post.’ The user wrote, “The walls around the Constitutional Court are low, so it seems easy to climb over if you really want to,” and added, “If the police block the way, pretend to go to a cafe or say you are visiting Bukchon since there are many restaurants nearby.” There were also posts mentioning preparations of ladders to jump over police barricades and baseball bats, and even an internal floor plan of every floor of the Constitutional Court was shared under the title ‘Confirming possible protest locations at the Constitutional Court.’
Some users in this gallery had also shared information about police deployment at the Western District Court and license plate numbers of vehicles from the High-ranking Officials’ Crime Investigation Unit when former President Yoon Seok-yeol’s pre-arrest interrogation was imminent last month. Similar situations are unfolding regarding the Constitutional Court impeachment trial.
According to a complaint submitted earlier by Park Tae-hoon, the preparatory committee chairman of the Progressive Party’s National University Student Committee, these individuals stated, “There is no peace gained without bloodshed,” and “Historically, peaceful protests have ultimately failed.” They also said, “If the dismissal is not announced, we must push in, sweep everything away, and overpower the judges,” and “We must climb over the walls and occupy the court yard.” An article claiming that “President Trump pardoned about 1,500 people who occupied the US Congress” was also shared.
