"Multifunctional Complex Community Facility...
Residents' Quality of Life Will Improve"
The city of Guri, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) announced on the 7th that the 'Galmae-dong Complex Community Center Construction Project' has officially commenced with the approval of the development project plan.
This project aims to provide various public services such as childcare, welfare, culture, and sports all in one facility for the residents of Galmae-dong. The Korea Asset Management Corporation (KAMCO), which possesses professional personnel and expertise, will invest the funds in a lump sum and manage the construction process thoroughly. The project will be promoted as a shared property entrusted development, a method where public facilities are developed on behalf of the city, with a target completion year of 2027.
The center will be built on lot 582 in Galmae-dong, with a total floor area of 11,351 square meters, consisting of 2 basement floors and 5 above-ground floors. The planned facilities include: (1st floor) Comprehensive Childcare Support Center, daycare center, community care center, indoor playground; (2nd floor) children's experience center, senior welfare center; (3rd floor) social welfare center, job center; (4th floor) Guri Cultural Center; (5th floor) multipurpose indoor gymnasium; and (basement 1st and 2nd floors) an attached parking lot.
Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri stated, "The Galmae-dong Complex Community Center is a multifunctional complex community facility that actively reflects the diverse needs of Galmae-dong residents. It will allow residents to access various administrative services in one place, which is expected to significantly improve their quality of life." He added, "We will do our best to proceed with the construction swiftly and meticulously so that high-quality services can be provided as soon as possible."
