Gwangju Dongbu Fire Station announced on the 7th that it conducted fire safety education for foreign workers at the Hanwha Construction Jisan Intersection (Station 216) subway construction site and the Hanwha Safety Training Center.

This training, which targeted around 70 foreign workers including those from Cambodia, was organized to enhance the response capabilities of vulnerable foreign groups in emergency situations and to raise safety awareness.

The training was tailored by involving Cambodian and Filipino fire safety instructors as assistant trainers, taking into account the local languages and cultural backgrounds of the participants.

This approach helped improve understanding of the training and created an environment where participants could engage more actively.

The main topics covered were: ▲Proper methods for reporting emergencies to 119 (distribution of flyers and leaflets) ▲CPR theory and practical training ▲Fire safety education customized for foreign workers (using e-books and textbooks).

Moon Heejun, chief of Dongbu Fire Station, stated, "Foreign workers can be more vulnerable in cases of fire or emergency due to language and cultural differences. Through this training, we will continue to strengthen safety education so that quick and appropriate responses can be made in emergency situations."
