RaonSecure recorded its highest-ever sales last year and turned profitable.
IT security and authentication platform company RaonSecure (CEO Soonhyung Lee, Jeonga Lee) announced on the 7th that its provisional consolidated sales last year grew 20% year-on-year to KRW 62.492 billion, achieving the highest performance since the company's establishment, and operating profit improved to KRW 1.967 billion, turning profitable.
RaonSecure's performance growth was driven by balanced growth in service and platform areas such as blockchain-based digital ID and white-hat consulting, as well as increased overseas sales through the expansion of overseas national digital ID projects and subscription-based biometric authentication services in Japan.
Building on the turnaround to profitability, RaonSecure plans to focus on sales growth and profitability improvement this year as well. The company is proactively responding to the “Harvest Now, Decrypt Later” attack, which collects encrypted information in advance and decrypts it when quantum computers are developed, by expanding the application of post-quantum cryptography (PQC) to its solutions to meet customer expectations. Along with this, it expects to expand business opportunities in new growth engines by expanding business using generative AI-based deepfake detection technology and advancing Raon Metademy.
The blockchain-based digital ID business will respond to the spread of mobile IDs in both public and private sectors and expand its business scope to various mobile certificates such as medical certificates and diagnostic reports. In addition, based on strategic platforms optimized for the ‘Zero Trust Guideline 2.0,’ including optimized multi-factor authentication (MFA) and role-based access management (EAM), the company plans to strengthen its authentication and access control business and expand sales by providing cloud-based SaaS services.
Overseas business will also be accelerated. Leveraging the successful completion of digital ID projects in Indonesia and Costa Rica last year, RaonSecure is promoting the expansion of overseas national digital ID projects in Latin America, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and Europe, aiming to successfully enter the global digital ID market estimated to be worth KRW 150 trillion by 2030. Additionally, the subscription-based biometric authentication service plans to expand its service areas beyond Japan to include the United States and other regions.
Soonhyung Lee, CEO of RaonSecure, said, “Last year was a meaningful year in which we achieved record-high sales and turned profitable through growth in service and platform sectors and increased overseas sales,” adding, “Although a difficult economic situation is expected this year, we will flexibly respond to market trends and focus on business growth and profitability improvement.”
