Designation of Local Aging Planned Urban Reconstruction Leading Zone, Daejeon Dunsan-dong 'Grand Lepied' in Spotlight

As the government pushes forward plans to renovate aging planned cities nationwide, including Dunsan in Daejeon, Haeundae in Busan, and Yeonsu in Incheon, interest in the nearby real estate markets is growing. This large-scale project aims to improve the deteriorated residential environments and strengthen regional competitiveness.


On the 15th, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport held a ‘Review Meeting for the Support Organization of Aging Planned City Renovation’ at the Government Sejong Complex and plans to establish guidelines for reviewing the basic renovation plans of local aging planned cities in March.


The renovation target areas, such as Dunsan in Daejeon and Haeundae in Busan, already have high-quality living infrastructure, so the completion of the renovation projects is expected to further increase the value of the real estate market.


Meanwhile, ‘Le Grand Pied’ located in Dunsan-dong, Daejeon, is gaining attention as a landmark in the area. This complex, built on the site of Homeplus in Dunsan-dong, Seo-gu, Daejeon, consists of five buildings with a total of 832 units, ranging from large units of 119 and 169㎡, and reaching up to 47 floors. The second phase of contracts is currently progressing successfully.


Le Grand Pied offers convenient access to City Hall Station on Daejeon Subway Line 1. Additionally, by the time residents move in 2028, Daejeon Urban Railway Line 2 is scheduled to open, providing easy access to Saemmeori Park Station. The construction of the Chungcheong Regional Express Train (CTX), which will be a key transportation infrastructure for the Chungcheong Mega City, is also planned, greatly improving the transportation environment.


Nearby the complex, there are abundant green spaces such as Saemmeori Park, Daejeon Expo Citizen Plaza, Daejeoncheon Riverside Park, Deul-ui Park, and Namsun Park, allowing residents to enjoy a healing lifestyle.


Major public institutions and excellent school districts are concentrated nearby. The Daejeon District Court, Daejeon City Hall, Prosecutor’s Office, Police Agency, and Seo-gu Office are adjacent. Furthermore, prestigious elementary, middle, and high schools such as Hanbat Elementary, Seowon Elementary, Munjeong Middle, and Chungnam High School, as well as the Dunsan-dong academy district, are close by, providing excellent educational conditions for children.


Residents can enjoy differentiated community facilities befitting a landmark. The indoor swimming pool ‘Pied Pool’ features three 20-meter lanes and a sunbed zone for leisurely swimming and relaxation. Additionally, there is a screen golf room, golf club, and fitness club available.


A sauna facility, rarely found in complexes outside the metropolitan area, will be installed within the complex. On the top floor, a sunset lounge, a sky lounge facility offering open views and relaxation, will be provided. There is also a family club for spending enjoyable time with family and guest rooms for visitors.


A sales representative stated, “The aging planned city renovation project will be an opportunity to significantly enhance residential environments and urban competitiveness. Le Grand Pied is expected to establish itself as a landmark complex in the region with its prime location in Daejeon and differentiated community facilities.”


The model house for the complex is located in the Bongmyeong-dong area of Yuseong-gu, Daejeon. Currently, visitors can select and contract remaining units and floors through on-site consultations, and visits are accepted by prior reservation.
