Anseong City to Establish Industrial Promotion Agency in the Second Half of the Year
for Customized Corporate Support
Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province is making an all-out effort to attract investments totaling 1 trillion won this year by promoting the 'Semiconductor Materials, Parts, and Equipment (SoBuJang) Specialized Complex.' In the second half of the year, the city also plans to establish the 'Anseong Industrial Promotion Agency' to support companies.
On the 6th, Anseong City announced that Mayor Kim Bora and staff from the Advanced Industry Division held a resolution ceremony to achieve the 1 trillion won investment attraction goal for the leap toward a sustainable advanced industrial city.

Mayor Kim emphasized, "We will promote policies to foster core strategic industries and actively engage in investment attraction activities to strengthen industrial competitiveness and create a business-friendly investment environment."
What Anseong City particularly highlights for investment attraction is the Dongsin General Industrial Complex in Bogae-myeon, designated in 2023 by the government as a 'Semiconductor SoBuJang Specialized Complex.' The 1.57 million square meter Dongsin Industrial Complex, which has so far consisted of 24 small-scale industrial complexes scattered around and lacked strategic industries, is expected by the city to become the foundation for fostering strategic industries and forming a systematic cluster in Anseong.
The city plans to further strengthen support for core SoBuJang process technology development, the establishment of a demonstration evaluation testbed, and industry-tailored professional technical manpower this year, which have been promoted since last year. In addition, the Anseong Industrial Promotion Agency will be launched in the second half of the year to provide customized support for companies.
The city also intends to improve residential conditions. To prepare for the increasing population inflow and housing development demand, it will review the feasibility of a public-led urban development project. In October, construction will begin on the 'Seoanseong Sports Park,' which will include soccer fields, baseball fields, and tennis courts.
Jung Chang-hoon, head of the Advanced Industry Division of Anseong City, said, "Following the opening of the Anseong-Guri section of the Sejong-Pocheon Expressway, inquiries for leasing at the Seo-un-myeon 5th General Industrial Complex, scheduled for completion in 2027, are increasing." He added, "While concentrating administrative efforts on attracting promising anchor companies with the goal of 1 trillion won in investment, we will also do our best to create residential conditions where companies can settle."
