On the 6th, Anseong City announced that it decided this at the festival committee meeting held on the 4th at the Anseong Matchum Art Hall conference room.
The city explained that it finalized the festival's timing and location considering traffic conditions, visitor influx, and the shipping period of agricultural and specialty products. The city decided that the pre-festival parade, Gilnori, will be held in the Ayang-dong area to ensure accessibility for visitors.
This year's festival will recreate the Anseong Cultural Market, centered on 'Baudeogi,' one of the three great artisans of the Joseon Dynasty, Anseongjang. In particular, as part of the '2025 East Asian Cultural Cities' project, traditional performances from China and Japan will also be held during the event.
A festival committee official said, "To establish the Baudeogi Festival as a representative cultural and arts festival of Korea, we plan to prepare more diverse performance programs, abundant experiences, and food than ever before," adding, "We will strive to ensure that the festival directly contributes to the economy of Anseong City."
