Presentation of Outstanding Cases: Information System Advancement, Premium Lectures, Career and Job Fair, and History Archive Supporters
“Key Achievements in Educational Innovation: Establishing a Comprehensive Convergence Education Management System and Expanding Micro-Modules”
Dong-A University (President Lee Hae-woo) announced on the 6th that it held the ‘DAU University Innovation Performance Forum.’
The forum, held on the 5th at the Wyndham Grand Busan Grand Ballroom, was organized to share the achievements of the past year, focusing on outstanding cases among various programs operated under the Dong-A University University Innovation Support Project, and to explore the direction for the next project cycle based on these results.
In his welcoming speech, President Lee Hae-woo said, “Dong-A University, which has been carrying out the University Innovation Support Project for the past seven years, has especially focused on educational innovation during this second cycle by establishing a comprehensive management system for convergence education and expanding micro-modules. The year 2025 will mark a new starting point for innovation as the Glocal project begins and the third cycle of the University Innovation Support Project transitions to the RISE system.”
On the same day, Song Chang-soo, Chairperson of the University Innovation Support Project General Council, delivered a keynote speech titled ‘Sustainable University Innovation Support for Universities.’
Outstanding cases of university innovation at Dong-A University included presentations on △ Establishing an integrated management system through information system advancement (Park Jin-eok, Team Leader, Information and Computer Department) △ DAU premium lecture cases and trend changes (Jung Sung-moon, Director, Center for Teaching and Learning Development) △ Career and job fair co-hosted by the university and local community (Professor Bang Hee-won, Career Development Center) △ Sharing achievements of the first cohort of the History Archive Supporters Dong-A Archi (D-Archi) (Professor Kim Young-boon, Curatorial Research Department).
Following these, students participating in excellent programs also gave presentations, including △ Career peer mentoring Lead (mentor) & Daum (mentee) (Lee Chae-eun & Noh Hye-in, Department of Food and Nutrition) △ Creating a garden city Busan by training student gardeners (Kim Cheon-ju, Department of Landscape Architecture) △ Integrated supporters for international students DAILY (Bartbayar Gundjidma, majoring in Political Science and Diplomacy, Mongolia), attracting attention.
Hwang Ki-sik, Director of the Dong-A University Innovation Project Group, said, “We feel great pride in being able to provide students with high-quality educational services and environments through the University Innovation Support Project, including the establishment of a convergence education system, a demand-centered integrated extracurricular management system, and a global campus.” He added, “I hope this forum became a meaningful occasion where the wisdom of universities promoting university innovation gathered and where directions for sustainable university innovation could be found.”
