Korea Railroad Corporation (hereinafter Korail) announced on the 6th that it will begin the recruitment process for new employees for the first half of this year from the 17th (2 PM) to the 19th (2 PM) of this month.
The recruitment scale is 2,243 people, which is 1.5 times larger than last year. Korail explained that this is the largest scale among public institutions. Korail increased the number of recruits this year and advanced the schedule compared to previous years with the aim of leading the creation of quality jobs.
The recruitment fields are six categories: ▲ Office Sales (725 people) ▲ Operation (280 people) ▲ Vehicles (380 people) ▲ Civil Engineering (313 people) ▲ Architecture (135 people) ▲ Electrical and Telecommunications (410 people).
The selection types and numbers are divided into open competition 1,553 people, certificate-restricted competition 422 people, residence-restricted competition 18 people, and veterans and disabled persons screening 250 people.
This year, Korail divides the country into six regions (Capital area, Gangwon area, Chungcheong area, Honam area, Daegu-Gyeongbuk area, Busan-Gyeongnam area) to recruit outstanding local talents, and the evaluation will be conducted in a blind manner focusing on job competency.
In addition, Korail plans to take the lead in realizing social value by expanding additional points for youth preparing for independence and basic livelihood security recipients.
The recruitment process will proceed in the order of document verification, written test, practical test, and interview. Successful candidates will be appointed as regular employees after completing an internship program of more than two weeks.
