Cheongsong-gun to Boost Chili Pepper Farms in 2025... Plans to Support Chili Dryer and Washer Provision

Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, is accepting applications for the '2025 Chili Dryer and Washer Support Project' from January 24 to February 21 to enhance the competitiveness of Cheongsong chili peppers and ensure stable agricultural management for chili farmers.

With a total project budget of 120 million KRW (50% subsidy, 50% self-payment), the project plans to support 20 chili dryers and 20 washers. The unit support price per device is 4 million KRW for dryers and 2 million KRW for washers.

Fifty percent of the project cost is supported by the county government. Eligible applicants are farmers residing in Cheongsong-gun who cultivate chili peppers on farmland of 1,000㎡ or more within the jurisdiction. Applications are being accepted through the town and township offices.

County Governor Yoon Kyung-hee stated, "By distributing chili dryers and washers, we aim to improve product quality and reduce drying time compared to natural drying, thereby lessening the burden on farmers. We expect to ship clean dried chili peppers that meet consumer demand for washed dried chili peppers."

In addition, Cheongsong-gun is continuously expanding support for chili non-woven fabric, mulching vinyl, harvesting convenience equipment, and pest and disease control costs to enhance the competitiveness of Cheongsong chili peppers through high-quality production.
