Yeongju-si, Recruiting Students for This Year's Specialized Agricultural Training Program

From Practical Skills to the Latest Agricultural Technologies
Customized Training to Strengthen Agricultural Competitiveness

Yeongju City, Gyeongbuk Province (Mayor Park Nam-seo) is recruiting participants for the '2025 Agricultural Professional Training Program' to strengthen the expertise of local farmers and support sustainable agricultural development.


This training program aims to enhance agricultural competitiveness and is operated in a total of 6 courses across 3 fields: ▲Long-term training for farmers (2 courses) ▲Specialist training for specific crops (2 courses) ▲Field expert training (2 courses). It is scheduled to be conducted from February to December, targeting approximately 300 participants.

The detailed courses include ▲Farmers' University (dense apple planting) for 50 participants ▲Apple School (basic level) for 100 participants ▲Specialist training for specific crops (plum and chili pepper) for 60 participants ▲Field expert courses (comprehensive pest management and soil specialist) for 100 participants.


Applications for the training can be submitted by visiting the Human Resources Development Team at the Rural Guidance Division of Yeongju Agricultural Technology Center or by faxing the application form by the 21st of this month.


In particular, reflecting the increasing demand for technology in newly cultivated crops, the specialist training courses for chili pepper and plum have been newly established and expanded. Top experts in these fields will be invited to share field experience and the latest cultivation techniques.


Kang Hee-hoon, head of the Rural Guidance Division, stated, "We will continuously expand practical and systematic education so that farmers can actively respond to the changing agricultural environment," adding, "Through customized training, we will further enhance the competitiveness of local agriculture."
