Providing Differentiated Content Centered on the Yi Sun-sin Tourism Experience Center
On the 3rd, Asan City in Chungnam announced that Hyeonchungsa, the shrine of Admiral Yi Sun-sin, has been selected as one of the "2025~2026 Korea Tourism Top 100" by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization.
The "Korea Tourism Top 100" is a project that selects and promotes Korea's representative tourist destinations, which both locals and foreign tourists must visit, every two years.
Hyeonchungsa, named as one of the 15 attractions in the Chungcheong region, not only features the shrine but also traditional houses and an archery range, offering a glimpse into Admiral Yi Sun-sin's youth.
In particular, the newly renovated Admiral Yi Sun-sin Memorial Hall, which reopened last year, displays national treasures such as the Nanjung Ilgi, listed as a UNESCO Memory of the World.
The city plans to provide differentiated tourism content centered around the Yi Sun-sin Tourism Experience Center, which is set to open this year.
