Support for Short-, Mid-, and Long-Term Programs
Enhancing Job Competency and Providing Follow-Up Support
Yangsan City in Gyeongnam will launch the Youth Challenge Support Project starting in February, with a total project cost of 588 million KRW, including national funding, selected by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
The Youth Challenge Support Project focuses on providing customized programs for youth vulnerable to job seeking, motivating them to seek employment and strengthening their job readiness. After completion, follow-up support linked to the National Employment Support System and Yangsan City's youth support policies will also be provided.
In particular, regional specialized programs such as mentoring for youth who have given up on job seeking and isolated reclusive youth, rural experiences in Yangsan Changgi Village, and media creator lectures will be offered to support the diverse skill development of young people.
The main recruitment targets are youth aged 19 to 39 in Yangsan City, including △youth who have given up on job seeking △youth preparing for independence △youth entering or leaving youth welfare facilities △North Korean defector youth, as well as youth recommended by related organizations and youth working part-time for livelihood.
The total number of recruits is 120, an increase of 30 from last year's 90, divided into short-term programs (30 people), mid-term programs (60 people), and long-term programs (30 people). Depending on the recruitment type, support funds and additional incentives will be provided.
The recruitment period is ongoing until November (first-come, first-served basis). To apply, visit the ‘Employment Support → Job Competency Enhancement → Youth Challenge Support Project’ page on Employment24 or contact the Gyeongnam Employers Federation.
