Daegu Dalseong-gun (Governor Choi Jae-hoon) will recruit candidates for the vacant house maintenance project for 2025 starting from February 3.
The vacant house maintenance projects conducted by Daegu Dalseong-gun include two types: the ‘Rural Vacant House Maintenance Support Project’ and the ‘Dalseong-gun Vacant House Maintenance Project.’ The maintenance targets for both projects are abandoned houses that have not been occupied or used for over a year.
In the case of the ‘Rural Vacant House Maintenance Support Project,’ if the owner demolishes the entire building on the land of the vacant house, up to 3 million KRW will be supported. The budget to be invested is 90 million KRW, planning to support 30 buildings.
The ‘Dalseong-gun Vacant House Maintenance Project’ is a project where, if the owner agrees to use the land as public land (such as parking lots or vegetable gardens) for three years, Dalseong-gun will invest up to 30 million KRW per household to directly demolish the vacant house and create public land. Dalseong-gun plans to create six public land sites after demolishing vacant houses with a total project cost of 180 million KRW.
Those wishing to demolish vacant houses can apply in person at the relevant eup/myeon administrative welfare center or the Architecture Division (7th floor) of Dalseong-gun Office by March 7.
Choi Jae-hoon, Governor of Daegu Dalseong-gun, said, “We maintain about 20 to 30 vacant houses every year. We will continue to maintain vacant houses to prevent various safety accidents and crimes that may occur in vacant houses and to improve the local landscape,” and added, “We ask for the interest of local residents, including vacant house owners, for substantial maintenance.”
