Recruiting 120 Elementary and Middle School Students in Gwangjin-gu on a First-Come, First-Served Basis Until February 10
Discovering Aptitude and Interests through Multiple Intelligences Test, Subject Preference Test for High School Credit System Preparation
Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) is operating a ‘Career and Academic Exploration Camp’ for elementary and middle school students and is recruiting participants.
The camp offers various experiential programs to help students discover their interests and aptitudes through camp activities and explore their career and academic paths based on these insights.
The participants are 120 elementary and middle school students residing in Gwangjin-gu, and the camp will be held four times in total, with 30 students per session.
The ‘Elementary School Career Camp’ for elementary students will be held on February 18 and consists of three main activities: ▲Understanding multiple intelligences theory and interpreting test results ▲Drawing brain structure and envisioning my future self ▲Creating my own ‘Career Box.’ This camp aims to provide students with an opportunity to identify their strengths and take the first step toward their future career paths.
The ‘High School Credit System Linked Academic Camp’ for middle school students will be held on February 19 and includes three activities: ▲Understanding the high school credit system and interpreting subject preference test results ▲Exploring desired fields and departments through an online preference test ▲Designing my own curriculum (subjects). This camp offers an opportunity to prepare in advance for the high school credit system, which will be fully implemented this year, helping middle school students to concretize their career plans and plan their high school education curriculum ahead of time.
Students who wish to participate can apply by February 10 through the Gwangjin-gu Office website (Gwangjin Education → Course Registration → Academic Programs). For more details, inquiries can be made to the Education Support Division of Gwangjin-gu Office.
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “This camp will provide practical help for students to explore careers that suit them and to establish systematic career and academic plans,” adding, “We will continue to prepare various support projects for youth to explore their future careers.”
