Jangheung County Partners with Jeonnam Office of Education to Strengthen Local Educational Capacity

Focus on Providing Administrative and Financial Support

Jangheung County, South Jeolla Province (Governor Kim Sung) has joined hands with the Jeollanam-do Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Daejung) to create a healthy educational ecosystem and strengthen local educational capacity.


According to the county on the 31st, the Jeollanam-do Office of Education and Jangheung County signed a business agreement for the Educational Autonomy Cooperation District at the conference room of the Jangheung Education Support Office on the 24th. This agreement includes cooperation between the two institutions for the development and revitalization of education in Jangheung, as well as providing administrative and financial support.

The signing ceremony was attended by Governor Kim Sung, Superintendent Kim Daejung, the head of the Jangheung Education Support Office, and other officials. The participants signed and exchanged the agreement, shared the achievements of the past four years, and discussed the direction for the future development of education in Jangheung.


The Educational Autonomy Cooperation District is an educational project in which the Jeollanam-do Office of Education and local governments support school and community education through one-on-one matching investments and business agreements to enhance local educational capacity.


Jangheung County began the Rainbow Education District agreement in 2013, the first in Jeollanam-do, and has continued it to this day. Through this agreement, the two institutions plan to invest 300 million won each annually for four years from this year to 2029 to promote projects for the creation of a local educational ecosystem and the enhancement of educational capacity.


Governor Kim Sung stated, "Through this agreement, future talents of Jangheung will be able to grow in a better educational environment," and added, "We will continue to cooperate with the Office of Education to promote various educational projects in the future."
