The practical training for farmers in Taean, Chungnam, aimed at helping them establish their agricultural plans for the upcoming Eulsanyeon New Year, has been successfully completed.


The Taean County Agricultural Technology Center announced that from the 8th to the 24th, it conducted the ‘2025 New Year Practical Training for Farmers’ over 28 sessions, resulting in the participation of 8,014 farmers?significantly exceeding the initial goal of 5,000.


The New Year Practical Training for Farmers is conducted to disseminate core agricultural techniques for regionally specialized crops, thereby increasing farmers’ incomes and enhancing the competitiveness of local agriculture.


This year, integrated classes for Taean’s main crops such as rice, chili peppers, and garlic were held in eight towns and villages, while specialized courses such as the local leaders’ class, soil and fertilizer class, and ginger cultivation technology class were offered at the center’s training facility.


Additionally, training on cultivation techniques and pest control by subject was provided, which was highly regarded for helping improve the capabilities of farming households and addressing their challenges.


Furthermore, various programs were conducted, including education on public direct payment subsidies and health management training in cooperation with the Taean County Public Health Center.


A center official stated, “We have focused on strengthening agricultural competitiveness by continuously providing education that is not only about distributing new technologies to respond to rapidly changing agricultural conditions but also practically helpful to the field.” He added, “We will continue our efforts to enhance the capabilities of local farmers and increase household incomes.”
