Following Season 2, which portrayed the full-fledged confrontation between Seong Gi-hun and the Front Man, Season 3 will tense ly depict the desperate failure of the rebellion against the game organizers and the choices Seong Gi-hun makes at the end of that despair. In particular, as Gi-hun faces new crossroads in the ongoing game, the Front Man who manipulates the game while observing him, and the participants whose psychology becomes more extreme as they approach the end of the game, are expected to be intricately portrayed.

The launch poster released that day captures the signature scene of 'Squid Game,' where a Pink Guard carries a dead participant, bleeding, in a coffin wrapped with a pink ribbon. Unlike the rainbow-colored playground of 'five-legged modern pentathlon' in Season 2, the colorful spiral floral-patterned floor foreshadows the passionate unfolding of the final story of Squid Game, heightening expectations. Especially, the copy "Will you participate in the final game?" along with the huge shadows of Young-hee and Cheol-su, Young-hee’s partner who first appeared in the cookie episode of Season 2’s last episode, reflected on the floor, raises curiosity about the newly unfolding game.
