Recruitment Open Until March 21, Up to KRW 2 Million Support
Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) will recruit small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to participate in the ‘2025 Exhibition and Fair Participation Support Project’ from March 3 to 21 next month.
This project supports SMEs by subsidizing part of the participation costs when they attend domestic and international exhibitions and fairs. It is promoted to assist companies that possess excellent products or technologies but face difficulties in market development.
The eligible applicants are SMEs located in Gangseo-gu that plan to participate or have participated in exhibitions and fairs held domestically or internationally this year. The support scale includes a total of 11 companies: 6 domestic participants and 5 overseas participants.
The support items cover booth rental fees and costs related to exhibition devices and auxiliary facilities within the booth necessary for event participation. Support is provided up to KRW 1.5 million for domestic exhibitions and up to KRW 2 million for overseas events.
The supported events include ▲ exhibitions and fairs held at 19 domestic specialized exhibition and convention facilities ▲ international-scale exhibitions, fairs, and expos held overseas ▲ and other exhibitions and fairs certified by the Korea Exhibition Industry Promotion Association (AKEI).
Companies wishing to participate should submit the application form, business registration certificate, national and local tax payment certificates, and other required documents to the Gangseo-gu Regional Economy Division. The district office will select 11 companies by the end of March this year through evaluations including ▲ general evaluation ▲ technical evaluation ▲ marketing evaluation ▲ certification evaluation ▲ and additional points, and notify them individually. Selected companies must participate in domestic or international exhibitions and fairs by the end of the year and apply for the subsidy within 15 days.
Meanwhile, the district office is promoting various projects to support SMEs’ market development and management, such as operating overseas trade delegations and providing loan support through the SME Development Fund.
Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon stated, “We expect this project to serve as a catalyst for the growth of SMEs,” and added, “We will continue to prepare various support policies that can strengthen the self-sustainability and competitiveness of SMEs.”
